Blount’s disease

• Legs that bow, due to abnormal developmental growth in children. May affect one or both legs.

Bone

• Living tissue that makes up the body’s skeleton.

Bone density scan

• Nuclear imaging method used to evaluate any degenerative and/or arthritic changes in the joints; to detect bone diseases and tumors; to determine cause of bone pain or inflammation.

Bone fractures

• Bone breaks, caused by injury, disease or defect.

Bone graft

• Surgical procedure in which healthy bone is transplanted from another part of the patient’s body into the affected area.
