Donna's Story
I never thought that I would be able to walk around the streets of Europe with my family 3 months after an accident on a trip to Hawaii with my husband. Without EXOGEN◊ I do not think that it would have been possible.
In early May of 2006 I was in Hawaii with my husband and some friends when I hurt myself in a water slide accident. I returned home in a lot of pain. While sitting in the office of my orthopaedic doctor I was told that I had a fracture that had occurred from the incident on the slide. I was given a cast and told to stay off of my foot. I did everything that my doctor instructed me to do because I knew that it was going to be tough to be able to fully heal before a planned trip to Europe with family. Many weeks after my accident, I returned to my doctor’s office for a check up and x-rays showed that my foot was not healing. As a result, my doctor prescribed an EXOGEN◊ device to me. I traveled back to see my orthopedist a couple of weeks prior to leaving on vacation and he informed me that my healing had progressed so much that I would no longer need to use my EXOGEN◊ unit and I should consider myself healed. He was right, just 2 weeks later I was vacationing with my family without any pain and I owe it all to my physician and my EXOGEN◊ Ultrasound Bone Healing System.
