Overview

BASIS^◊ and COBRA^◊ stems are fracture management stems that share the same design and easy to use instrumentation as the clinically unsurpassed SPECTRON^◊ system.

Features and Benefits

Broad collar provides stress distribution as well as improves cement compression.
Simple one-tray instrument layout allows for easily reproducible results.
Circulotrapezoidal neck provides increased ROM and can lead to less islocations.
Optimized neck taper and femoral head design allow for 11mm of neck length adjustment without a skirted head.
Femoral heads with skirts decrease ROM and can increase dislocation.
Tapered distal portion of stem distributes stresses over full length of stem and enhances compressive load of cement.
Grit-blast finish of the COBRA^◊ stem provides a surface for bone attachment.
Proximal flares provide medial cement compression for longer cement mantle survival.
