TRIGEN Reducer
| The design of this instrument provides an easier mechanism for reducing fractures. The reducer connects to the T-Handle and is inserted through the entry tool to manipulate the fracture into reduction. Its shaft is larger in diameter and more stiff than the standard guide rod that is often used to reduce fractures. The reducer and T-Handle are cannulated to allow a guide rod to be inserted prior to removing the reducer. This minimizes the risk of losing the reduction when the reducer is removed. |
The T-Handle (7163-1172) is attached to the end of the reducer. The reducer is then inserted through the entry tool and used to reduce the fracture.
| Features | Benefits |
| Innovative Design | This proprietary design involves a hybrid bow that allows the instrument to be used in either the femur or tibia. |
| Cannulated Shaft | Allows a guide rod to be inserted through the instrument once reduction has been achieved. This method minimizes the risk of losing the reduction upon removal of the instrument and eliminates the need for exchanging guide rods. |
| "Finger" Tipped | The tip of the instrument acts like a finger to manipulate the fracture fragment(s) and bring them back into alignment. |
