Intramedullary Nails
TRIGEN Entry Tool
Designed to provide a more convenient method of locating and creating an entry portal. The beveled tip of the Entry Tool is placed to bone, and the honeycomb insert allows a Guide Pin to be inserted and positioned as needed in the medullary canal. The honeycomb insert is removed, while leaving the Entry Tool and Guide Pin. The Entry Tool then becomes a working channel and allows other instruments to pass through as the canal is being prepared for inserting the nail.
The honeycomb insert slips into the Entry Tool. The insert turns and allows for additional Guide Pins to be inserted as needed until proper placement has been achieved. Standard suction tubing connects to the Entry Tool to allow for blood containment and evacuation. The handle can be rotated as needed to adjust the angle of the beveled tip so that it rests appropriately on the bone.
