  • Overview

Based on a design philosophy with over 20 years of clinical success, the EMPERION™ Modular Hip System combines a proven design with modern technology. The result is the next step in hip evolution: a simpler, more versatile hip system that delivers enhanced performance.

  • The Ultimate in versatility

The comprehensive implants of the EMPERION◊ Modular Hip System are designed to address the sizing needs of nearly any femur, thereby restoring the natural kinematics of the patient’s hip.

  • An effective implant for both primary and revision procedures
  • Addresses the proximal/distal mismatch
  • Offers infinite stem to sleeve version control
  • Comes in three stem lengths: primary, standard revision, long revision (bowed)
  • Two offset options for each primary length stem
  • Two calcar options for standard revision stems: neutral and +10
  • Three calcar options for long revision (bowed) stems: neutral, +10 and +20
  • Two sleeve lengths: 40mm and 60mm
  • Up to 16 different proximal sleeve options for each stem size
    • Enhanced performance through innovation

The EMPERION◊ system ushers in a new age of proven simplicity. By incorporating cutting-edge technology into the system’s design, the EMPERION◊ system delivers enhanced performance versus competitive systems.

  • Every EMPERION◊ sleeve uses POROUS PLUS™ HA coating with a 50 micron hydroxyapatite layer applied onto the porous sintered-bead coating. Studies have shown this to be the optimal HA coating thickness to ensure proper mechanical integrity and have optimal attachment strength.1,2 Furthermore, the EMPERION◊ system is the only system of this style that has this type of coating available.
  • Circulotrapezoidal neck provides maximum ROM with minimal impingement, thereby reducing the risk of dislocation and wear.. 3
  • The polished bullet tip of the stem reduces the magnitude and increases the distribution of pressure on the bone, resulting in easier stem insertion and possibly less thigh pain.4
