Miss Muirhead-Allwood

Miss Muirhead-Allwood has been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in hip reconstruction surgery since 1984.

She works at the Royal National Orthopaedics Hospital in Stanmore where she does her NHS work. Her private practice operates out of the London Hip Unit, 30 Devonshire Street. Miss Muirhead- Allwood performs surgery at The Princess Grace Hospital and King Edward 7th Hospital, both of which are in London.

Her practice deals exclusively with hips and she performs around 700 hip operations a year. She has done over 950 hip resurfacings and is a pioneer in minimally invasive hip surgery.

She is widely considered to be the final court of appeal for hip revision surgery.

She is closely involved in the development of hip prostheses and the advancement of technique and instrument design to ensure superior results and faster recovery.
