Step 1

Remove ACTICOAT◊ Flex 3 & 7 from the package, if the wound is dry or there is minimal exudate the dressing should be moistened with drinking water. Where there is moderate to high levels of exudate, the dressing does not need to be moistened.

Cut to appropriate size and shape.

Without stretching the dressing, apply to the wound, either side down. Make sure the direction of stretch is along the limb.  When in use with negative pressure wound therapy, the wound filler material should be used and changed according to the manufacturers’ instructions.

Step 4

Step 4
Keep the dressing moist. Change the dressing depending on the amount of exudate and the condition of the wound. Secure with an appropriate secondary dressing.
