New Surgeon Video Lecture Series on Hip Repair

In 2010, Smith & Nephew Endoscopy is launching a new surgeon video lecture series reviewing hip arthroscopy procedures. Each video in the series will highlight a specific topic surrounding treatment of the hip. This innovative video lecture series was designed to provide a thorough yet convenient venue to educate surgeons – particularly those who do not often perform arthroscopic hip procedures– on the most current tools and techniques.

The inaugural video in the series covers patient diagnosis; in Physical Examinations of the Hip and Pelvis, Dr. Christopher M. Larson reviews the critical factors relative to patient selection and surgical technique. Dr. Larson maintains that a thorough history, physical examination, and evaluation of imaging studies are critical to achieving an optimal patient outcome. These points, as well as indications and contraindications, will all be reviewed in the video. Click HERE to view Physical Examinations of the Hip and Pelvis and learn more detail on identifying appropriate patients with a focus on maximizing positive patient outcome.
