Consistent with our brand, it is the policy of Smith & Nephew to comply with the laws of each country in which we do business. Through the continuous improvement of regulatory compliance systems, we will actively manage our compliance risks.
Smith & Nephew will ensure that all the policy statements contained in this document are acted upon. These are minimum requirements and apply to all parts of Smith & Nephew where such activities are performed.
Each President, General Manager, Managing Director, and Country Manager is responsible for compliance with this policy, including policy distribution, and ensuring employee knowledge and compliance.
Periodic audits/assessments will be made by GBU audit teams to provide objective evidence of compliance.

The Group Regulatory Affairs Office will include details of Regulatory Body and GBU periodic audits/assessments within the annual Regulatory Compliance Report for the Senior Executives of Smith & Nephew and GBU Presidents.
