Regulatory Compliance Policy
Consistent with our brand, it is the policy of Smith & Nephew to comply with the laws of each country in which we do business. Through the implementation and continuous improvement of regulatory compliance systems, we will actively manage our compliance risks.
The Regulatory Compliance Policy contains the minimum requirements that apply to all parts of Smith & Nephew.
Each President, General Manager, Managing Director, Country Manager and Heads of Global Operations and Global Information Services (GIS) is responsible for ensuring that all Covered Persons operate in compliance with this policy.
Periodic reviews are undertaken by Internal Audit and Business Unit audit teams to provide assurance that controls that mitigate risks are designed and operated effectively.
Internal Audit presents a Regulatory Compliance Report to GBU Presidents and senior Executives of Smith & Nephew. This supports reporting to the Audit Committee.
