Intramedullary Nails
The innovative implant design of the TRIGEN◊ system takes universal to a new level – both with implants and instrumentation.
The concise, yet comprehensive design allows you to treat virtually any lower-extremity fracture with just three nail designs – quickly, easily and successfully. While a variety of unique sizes and hole configurations offers maximum versatility.
TRIGEN instrumentation boasts patented designs and a minimally invasive alternative for lower-extremity fracture management. The unique "working channel" approach allows for a smaller incision, enhanced soft tissue management, better containment of blood loss and improved access to the bone. And just one instrument tray provides all the tools needed to treat almost any lower-extremity fracture, with a convenient, percutaneous intramedullary surgical approach.
The TRIGEN System is designed by surgeons for surgeons, to produce the most successful outcomes, while offering you the most in versatility with the fewest instruments and implants. The minimally invasive technique is designed to reduce blood loss and exposure to blood-born pathogens. The color-coding system provides easy identification of implant and guide.
A universal instrument set increases comfort levels across a variety of procedures. And a number of new innovations researched and designed with every level of surgery in mind provide a procedure that is simple, cost-efficient and effective. The ultimate goal of any M.D., R.N., or O.R. staff and Administration. The ultimate goal of TRIGEN◊.
The TRIGEN System is designed to benefit both the patient and surgeon, by combining the highest quality instrumentation with simplicity in design. In the development of TRIGEN, a complete review of the instrumentation required for fracture management of the lower leg resulted in reduction of instrument trays from five to one. Fewer trays means quicker set-up for surgery, and a quicker procedure as the surgical team acquaints themselves with the instruments and anticipates the surgeon's next move.
The TRIGEN System further improves patient outcomes by allowing placement through smaller minimally invasive "keyhole" incisions. Reduced blood loss and reduced operation room time are designed to support faster patient recovery and positive clinical outcomes. Ultimately, TRIGEN promotes efficiency in the operating room, reduced cost to the hospital, and positive outcomes for the patient.
The system was further extended in 2006 with the launch of TRIGEN INTERTAN nail for the treatment of femoral fractures. It features an innovative two-screw configuration that secures the nail in place after surgery, acting together to provide greater stability for the bone and reduced healing time. Previous generations of intramedullary nails for femoral fractures used a single screw that sometimes contributed to a loosening of the device.
