REPLICARE^◊ Ultra consists of a layer of hydrocolloid (liquid absorbing particles in an elastic, self-adhesive mass), covered on the upper side by a semi-permeable polyurethane film.

REPLICARE^◊ Ultra hydrocolloid wound dressings are indicated for the management of full and partial thickness wounds with light to moderate exudate, such as pressure sores and leg ulcers. Other indications include donor sites, abrasions, trauma wounds, post-operative surgical wounds and superficial burns (1st & 2nd degree).

Contraindications:

• Do not use on infected wounds.
• Do not use on patients with a known allergy to hydrocolloid dressings.
• Do not use on full thickness burns.

Precautions:

• Inappropriate use, particularly on patients with fragile skin, can result in skin stripping.
• Hydrocolloid wound dressings should only be used under the advice of a health care professional. A medical practitioner should treat wounds with signs of clinical infection  before treatment with REPLICARE^◊ Ultra. Ulcers predominantly or entirely caused by arterial insufficiency should be inspected regularly by a medical practitioner.
