OPSITE Film Dressings

There are many different types of film dressings available for use in post-operative wounds, as well as other types of wounds. Smith & Nephew offer the OPSITE^◊ films range of dressings and provide simple solutions to allow the customers to select the ideal film dressing.

Amongst the range are two market-leading brands.

OPSITE^◊ Post-Op is a waterproof and bacteria-proof post-operative film dressing with absorbent pad. The film acts as a barrier to bacteria including MRSA and can significantly reduce the risk of skin blistering in orthopaedic surgery.

The high Moisture Vapour Transmission Rate (MVTR) film makes it significantly more permeable to water vapour than ordinary films. This keeps the site dry and can help to ensure a lower risk of bacterial colonisation.

OPSITE^◊ Flexifix is a transparent conformable film roll which is adaptable to awkward areas and ideal for use in dressing fixation or skin protection.
