CADESORB pH Modulating Ointment

CADESORB^◊ has been specifically designed to redress the balance of proteases in chronic wounds. Proteases are important in wound healing, but if they display high levels of activity they can cause wounds to get “stuck” in the inflammatory phase.

Proteases are sensitive to pH levels.

CADESORB^◊ reduces the pH of chronic wounds1 such as leg ulcers which tend to have a slightly alkaline pH.

This pH reduction inhibits excess protease activity, kick starting the wound back into the healing cascade.

CADESORB^◊ is also able to absorb exudate and slough from the wound bed, thus removing barriers to healing.

CADESORB^◊ is available as an ointment format in different sizes to cope with different shapes and sizes of wounds.
