Description

ALLEVYN^◊ Non-Adhesive is a highly absorbent hydrocellular foam dressing designed for use on moderate to highly exuding wounds. The dressing has an advanced triple-layered construction, which allows facilitation of wound healing through responsive exudate management.

Non-Adherent wound contact layer. ALLEVYN^◊ Non-Adhesive dressings have a polyurethane wound contact layer which prevents adherence to the wound surface.

The top film of ALLEVYN^◊ Non-Adhesive prevents strikethrough of excess exudate and provides an effective barrier to bacteria and minimises risk of cross-contamination.

Over 17 years of in-vitro and clinical evidence for ALLEVYN^◊ demonstrate successful healing of patient’s wounds across a wide range of indications, wound shapes, sizes and levels of exudate.

Indications

For the management of shallow, granulating, exuding wounds for example venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, donor sites.

Contraindications / Precautions

Do not use any ALLEVYN^◊ product with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions (e.g. EUSOL) or hydrogen peroxide solutions, as these can break down the absorbent hydrocellular component of the dressing.

Reddening of the skin around the wound following the use of ALLEVYN^◊ Non-Adhesive dressings has been reported rarely. In some cases this relates to irritation of fragile skin, in others wound exudate remaining in contact with normal skin for prolonged periods may be the cause.

Infrequently, cases of sensitivity to the dressing have also been reported. If reddening or sensitisation occur, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional.
