Description

ALLEVYN^◊ Gentle Border Lite is a silicone gel adhesive hydrocellular foam dressing incorporating the unique triple-action ALLEVYN^◊ technology for use on low to moderlately exuding wounds. The dressing is suitable for use on fragile skin¹ as the silicone gel adhesive allows the dressing to be changed with mimimal pain to the patient and trauma to the wound.¹

Indications

ALLEVYN Gentle Border Lite is indicated for wound management by secondary intention on shallow, granulating wounds, chronic and acute exudative wounds, full and partial thickness wounds including:
Pressure Ulcers, Diabetic Foot Ulcers, Leg Ulcers, Fungating Wounds, Infected wounds, Malignant Wounds, Surgical wounds, Donor Sites, 1st and 2nd degree burns.

This product is for the treatment to low to moderately exuding wounds.

Precautions

ALLEVYN^◊ Gentle Border Lite should not be used with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions (eg Eusol) or hydrogen peroxide, as these can break down the absorbent polyurethane component of the dressings.
If reddening or sensitisation occurs, use of ALLEVYN should be discontinued and a healthcare professional consulted.
